Our History

The Sharieff Foundation was founded in the year 2016 and was inspired by and named after Nasira Sharieff. She has taught countless children, adopted orphans, served the poor, fed the hungry, and taught children how to read and write. She is also the first woman in the history of the US to start her own mosque (San Ramon Valley Islamic Center). She has inspired thousands. She is now in her mid-80s and continues to meditate every day. She teaches classes 5 days a week and currently has over 350 students. She has given her life to serving humanity and making a difference in the lives of those around her.

The Sharieff Foundation was started with the goal to collect and distribute charity. Charity has been and will continue to be collected and distributed to those who may be poor, sick, needy, homeless, orphans, or hungry, as well as to students, scholars, educational initiatives, and community programs.
